Ladbrokes Poker has announced their new Anonymous Tables that now allow players to play with anonymous aliases and avatars only visible to them and no other player at their table.
In the lobby, players have the option of choosing to play at standard
cash tables or anonymous tables distinguished by an "A" next to the
table. At these tables, all player history is gone and any tags or notes
made on an alias will no longer be visible.
This will allow players to play in the present and pull off moves they
will not be tracked for since the name tracking software will not be
associating players with their real alias. Not to worry, the revenues
will still be tracked based on real alias, but that will only be for the
player and Ladbrokes to know about. Only the Network monitoring teams
will have the real player info, so the anonymous tables will provide
some exciting game play!
Players alike have been asking for this feature for
years, and for the first time in the poker world, Ladbrokes players have
the exclusive chance to take advantage of anonymous play.
As Kate McLennan, Head of Poker at Ladbrokes Poker, has said, "We are
really excited about this launch. Never before have poker players been
able to play without other players knowing who they are. This brings an
added element to the game for people whose playing style maybe
recognisable. For those new to the game, it is an opportunity to try
some different moves without getting a reputation because players will
simply never know who they are playing against."

What’s the idea then?
Your alias and avatar will be shown only to you and not to the other
players at the table. If another player has tagged your alias or made
notes on you they will be unable to view them. All players seated will
be given an anonymous alias.
How can I find an Anonymous table?
Look for the tables in the lobby that have the icon displaying an ‘A’ next to the table identifying it as an Anonymous table.
How will I know where I’m sitting?
Your alias and avatar will be visible only to you.
Can poker tracking software track my real alias to the Anonymous table?
No, the tracking software will not associate your play on the Anonymous tables with your real alias.
Good luck!
